Santi Cazorla has finally joined Arsenal and was at Arsenal's Training Ground, London Colney to complete his move from Spanish side Malaga in a deal believed to be worth around £15 million, signing a long term contract with the London side.

The 27 year-old winger posed in the new Arsenal kit and said "I'm so excited to be joining one of the greatest teams in Europe and also in the Premier League."

"I'm so happy to be joining Arsenal. This is a club with great players, a fantastic stadium and huge support. The club has one of the best managers in football and their style of play is recognised and admired all over the world."

"I will do my best to help Arsenal challenge for trophies and make all the supporters happy."

Arsene Wenger was delighted that he had finally captured Cazorla, whose previous team Malaga had failed to pay his wages due to serious financial problems: "He's a great signing who will add significant quality to us. He is a player with good experience at both club and international level."

The Arsenal manager continued: "He is a versatile, attacking midfield player who can play comfortably on either side of the pitch or centrally. He has good pace, is technically gifted and will be a huge asset to Arsenal Football Club. We are delighted that he is joining us."

The court gave its final & decisive verdict yesterday in favour of Adrian & Atletico which opened the road to sign for the Madrid Club

Antonio di Natale Happy He Stayed On With Udinese

Udinese striker Antonio di Natale has revealed that he has no regrets rejecting Juventus last summer.

Udinese are in a good position to finish in the top four this season.

The Italian international told Il Guerin Sportivo magazine : “I stayed in Udine because of the people at this club,”.

“I am 33 years old, no longer 20, so I have different priorities. I was happy to stay at a professional club where it feels like you’re in a family atmosphere.

“Of course we talked it over with my actual family too and I am the one who decides when it comes to my work, but quite simply none of us wanted to go to Turin.

“I took a couple of days to think it over. I spent them at my football school and all temptation disappeared. Will I remain at Udinese? I really think I will.”

David Beckham Happy To Play In Central Midfield For LA Galaxy

David Beckham has been deployed into central midfield on the weekend by LA Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena and both parties were extremely happy with the move.

Beckham has made his mark as a right-sided midfielder throughout his career but Arena thought it would be a good idea to throw him into the centre of the pitch for Saturday’s clash with Philadelphia Union.

The move paid off as Beckham produced his best performance for the Galaxy in a while as the team saluted 1-0.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star said that he enjoyed the move into the role as it reminded him of some of his past playing days.

“Bruce just said to me, ‘Do you want to try something different?’” Beckham said.

“We did and I think it worked well. We kept the ball well, we passed the ball around well and we created chances.

“I’ve played that position a number of times before, whether it be for Man. United, Real Madrid and England,” he said.

“I know that I can play that position.”

And Arena admitted that the move worked very well for the team.

“David played well,” he said. “We’re getting him back in the kind of form he needs to be in, in terms of his fitness. We played him centrally and I think he did a good job.

“He helps our passing and I was pretty impressed with his effort [Saturday], much improved from the first three games.”

Diego Forlan has declared that he is happy at Atletico Madrid and insists that it would take “a really good offer” to prise him away from the Vicente Calderon.

Forlan, now age 31, was heavily linked with a move away from Atletico after starring in last summer’s World Cup for Uruguay, but a move never materialised.

The former Manchester United forward was again the subject of speculation in the January transfer window, with Tottenham among a host of clubs reportedly interested in acquiring his services.

Forlan said : “It would have to be a really good offer,”.

“At the moment there is none, so I didn’t consider anything. But at the moment, I have two years more of a contract at Atletico Madrid and it’s a good team and I am happy there. You never know.”

Carlo Ancelotti insists he is happy with his Chelsea side despite failing to score in Wednesday's Champions League game against FC Copenhagen.



The Italian saw his side miss a number of chances in the goalless draw at Stamford Bridge, but the 2-0 victory in Denmark a fortnight ago was enough to see Chelsea reach the last eight.



"I think that we played a good game, we were focused and avoided risk and maintained a good control of the game," he said.



"We had a lot of opportunities to score, we were unlucky I think. We did not need to score tonight.



"It is important to create the situation and we created a lot of opportunities this evening. I am happy because apart from that it was good, the players showed a good attitude on the pitch.



"We wanted to move on from the last 16 and now we are in the quarter-final. I want to remind you that at this same time last year we were crying and now we are to be happy.



"I see that the team is fresh and in good condition and I want to rotate the players because all the players deserve to play and this is a good reason to do this."



Despite a number of difficult potential opponents, including favourites Barcelona and three Premier League sides, Ancelotti would not be drawn on who he would prefer to face in the next round.



"I don't want to say anything about this, we just have to wait and see," he added.



"Barcelona are a dangerous team but every team in the quarter-final is dangerous. We have to let the draw decide."



Despite the defeat, FC Copenhagen coach Stale Solbakken was proud of his side's performances over the course of this season's tournament.



"I can only congratulate Chelsea on going on in this tournament," he said. "They were the better team overall, and they also did well tonight, but I am proud of what we have achieved in this competition. We have played eight games, and we have played well in seven of them.



"The game at Parken [the first leg against Chelsea] was the performance we were not content with, but in general we have to realise that we were knocked out by a better team. However, it was a magnificent performance to get a goalless draw here.



"Our central defence was extremely strong, our goalkeeper did well and in general our display was very satisfying."
