West Ham United ‘s latest signing, 25 year old Senegal striker, Demba Ba has hit out at former club Hoffenheim.
It was Ba’s fall-out at Hoffenheim that led to accusations that he went on strike and was only motivated by money. He is keen to set the record straight on.
“That’s complete rubbish,” he said.
“It suited the club’s general manager Ernst Tanner to portray me this way when in fact he treated me with absolutely no respect.
“They decided they wanted to sell me so in my head I had already left the club. Yet they expected me to be committed to them.
“Money doesn’t motivate me to play football and people who know me well enough to have an opinion realise that.”
