Reports are out claiming that Liverpool are closing in on a deal for Benfica fullback Fabio Coentrao.
According to Correio da Manha, the Premier League giants have agreed a fee with Benfica that will see the Portuguese international move to Anfield.
It is said that Liverpool will now pay Benfica a fee of €28.9 million (£25m) for the 23 year old highly rated wing back.
However, neither Liverpool or Benfica have confirmed that a deal has been struck, and until that time it will remain open to debate as to if the former Rio Ave star is heading to the Barclays Premier League.
Real Madrid are also keen on Coentrao.
