JUVENTUS RAISES ITS OFFER TO 40M€ FOR ATLETICO DE MADRID SERGIO AGUERO

spanish football
Italian Club JUVENTUS really puts their money where their mouth is, something admirable in the rumour & gossip Football World. The Italian Football Club announced weeks back that ATLETICO DE MADRID Argentine forward SERGIO AGUERO was their "Top Priority" for the new upcoming season & they are not taking a NO for an answer. According to Italian Sports paper "La Gazzetta dello Sport" today Juventus will raise their initial offer of 35M€ to 40M€ for the Atletico player. They even go further & insinuate that there is an initial agreement with the player for 7.5M€/season net + bonuses & a 5 year contract. This last piece of news will need to be verified as I am not too sure that it is the case.

Spanish Football
Sergio Aguero
Atletico de Madrid may accept the offer as they are willing to sell to any Club with a good offer other than Real Madrid. However, the final word is with the player & local press information makes everybody believe that Sergio Aguero wishes to play at Real Madrid.

Some observers are speculating that Aguero wrongly anticipated himself in declaring that he wished to leave Atletico &/or was badly advised by his close circle to make the initial move without a firm "in the hand" agreement from Real Madrid. The player is currently perplexed & frustrated in attempting to understand why REAL MADRID has not yet made their move & put forward a genuine offer.

The player is now in a very sticky situation:

  • he accepts the Juventus offer, an option never in his plans & with a team that will not be playing in European competition next season
  • he waits for the Real Madrid move & offer , which may never come due to the blacklash from Atletico fans & possible broken relations with the Atletico Club
  • puts his head in between his tail & returns to Atletico de Madrid to stay another season
This last option would be a disaster for the player with is image & prestige with fans on the floor, & with a  the Club wishes to sell but not to Real Madrid,  the Club of Aguero´s desires.

Thus a very complex situation with still lots to be written & reported before we all finally know for sure the destination of Sergio Aguero for next season. All I can say now is that the only firm offer that Aguero has is from Juventus & it is in the range his Club is willing to accept. Whether Aguero - the player - accepts the Juventus offer or not is still to be seen,  but it is not impossible. I presume that there is lots of thinking to be done by Aguero.

SERGIO AGUERO CLOSE TO JUVENTUS ? DON´T SEE IT ( AT THIS MOMENT)

SPANISH FOOTBALL is a buzz with transfer speculation, one being the future of Argentine International & ATLETICO DE MADRID forward SERGIO AGUERO. From Italy & from its Sports paper "La Gazzetta dello Sport", the Italians see Ageuro as a Juventus player - nearly.

Spanish Football
Sergio Aguero
The Italian Club has Aguero as their Nº 1 priority, & have offered 35M€, to which Atletico wants 40M€. To continue negotiations it is said that the Clubs will meet early next week to continue advancing. However there are some points that makes me believe that the optimism of Juventus may be torpedoed & that signing Aguero is not so easy as the Italian press makes one believe:

1. The Aguero purpose for leaving Atletico is to play on the European stage, concretely Champions League. Juventus hasn´t qualified for Europe & Atletico has, at least for the Champions League prelimary qualifiers. Does it seem logical to leave a Club for another not in Europe?

2. Aguero has said publicly he wishes to stay in Madrid.
3. Maradona - his father in law - let "slip" his future was in the city of Madrid
4. The salary of Aguero is around 6.5 - 7M€ ( net ). In Italy due to tax laws that would have to be higher ( gross wise ) to keep his level. Few Clubs in the World can pay his salary.

All clues point to REAL MADRID & some say there may all ready be a "verbal agreement".

The big existing problem is that Atletico de Madrid cannot openly sell Sergio Aguero to Real Madrid due to the supporters backlash. Atletico de Madrid owner Gil Marin is "frightened" of how Atletico fans will react selling their star to the enemy. Thus a whole series of "strategies" need to be put in place to "soften" public opinion & it looks as if that process has already began. Comments from Atletico de Madrid President Cerezo yesterday has attempted to put some water on the Aguero fire & if things go accordingly, Real Madrid ( who does not wish to break Club relations with Atletico ) may begin opening talks & pressuring further.

The "JUVENTUS manoeuvring" also "smells" like pressure from Sergio Aguero,  & a clear message to Real Madrid to get "their shit together" & lift a few gears with the transfer process & negotiation.

I see Sergio Aguero in Real Madrid, it is the true desire of the player & Real Madrid is interested. Does this mean that the "Juventus option" is therefore discarded? No,  one can never say never, Football is too volatile to make clear predictions, but if I had to bet today I see Aguero closer to Real Madrid than any other Club. Stay tuned!

AC Milan Keen On Juventus Striker Amauri

Interesting news are out and it has been revealed that AC Milan are in contact with Juventus over a price for Amauri.

The Turin giants are expected to cash in on the 31 year old this summer, with the centre-forward not in the plans of new coach Antonio Conte.

Amauri revived his career on-loan at Parma last season and Milan coach Max Allegri sees him as cover for No1 striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Corriere dello Sport says Amauri is aware of Milan’s interest and keen on the move.

His agent, Enzo Bronzetti, has close ties to the Rossoneri, which should smooth negotiations.

Juventus To Make €30 Million Offer For Sergio Aguero

Reports are out claiming that Juventus have made a concrete bid to Atletico Madrid for want-away striker Sergio Aguero.

According to AS Juventus met with the Argentine international’s management team last week in Turin and tabled personal terms worth a whopping €7.5 million-a-year.

It is also believed that the Turin giants made it clear they were unwilling to meet Aguero’s €45 million buyout clause, but would go as high as €30 million to sign the 23 year old.

Aguero’s reps have since relayed Juve’s proposal to Atletico and the Bianconeri have been informed theirs is so far the only serious offer on the table.

Del Neri won't walk at Juventus

Luigi Del Neri insists he will not quit Juventus despite the club looking set to miss out on European football next season.

A 1-0 defeat to Parma on Sunday means Juve must beat Napoli and hope Roma lose to relegated Sampdoria at the weekend if they are to qualify for the Europa League next season.

Del Neri has been under pressure in recent weeks after a disappointing first season in charge in Turin, but he says he has no plans to quit.

"Barring a miracle, we are out of Europe," Del Neri said. "But I don't want to talk about stepping down, absolutely not. I am under contract and I remain in the project. I do my job in the best possible way but it will be the club that has the final say.

"Our fortunes have not been decided in the penultimate match. We didn't play well against Parma but it has been an unusual campaign. We have made a lot of mistakes throughout the campaign.

"We are all disappointed as we would have liked to have ended the season differently. But now we have to try to beat Napoli and we will see what happens."

Roma 2-0 Juventus – Match Highlights

Roma lost ground in the race for a Champions League spot following a 2-0 defeat to Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico.

Roma were the dominant side in the first 45 minutes, but, bar a wonderful Francesco Totti volley, failed to create any clear cut chances and the Old Lady grew in stature as the match wore on.

And an increased sense of composure bore fruit in the second half when Milos Krasic put the visitors into the lead on the hour mark before Alessandro Matri put the result beyond doubt with 16 minutes of the match reamining.

Roma continued to probe but were largely restricted to efforts from distance as they attempted to preserve their unbeaten league run under caretaker coach Vincenzo Montella.
