Reports are out claiming that German club Hamburg are ready to set up a swap deal with Liverpool for Martin Skrtel.
The 26 year old Slovakia international centre back has been recommended to Hamburg by Chelsea football chief Frank Arnesen – who is moving to the German giants this summer.
Ontheir part, it is believed that Hamburg plan to use Liverpool’s interest in Eljero Elia to tee up a swap deal for Skrtel.
The Dutch international winger is ready to leave Hamburg in June and attracted enquiries from Liverpool during the winter market.
Liverpool are expected to go for Elia should they fail to land Rennes’ Bosman prospect Sylvain Marveaux.
