Thierry Henry Wants To Give 110% To New York Red Bulls

Thierry Henry has admitted that he is feeling no pain in his Achilles for the first time in a while.

The former Arsenal and Barcelona star scored his first MLS goal of the season with a lovely diving header in the 3-0 win over San Jose Earthquakes on the weekend.

The former French international also got through training ahead of tonight’s clash with DC United at Washington’s RFK Stadium.

The New York Red Bulls striker said that he was looking forward to give his all for the Red Bulls in what will be a vital game against a DC side who are also coming off 3-0 win, over Toronto FC.

Henry said : “I’ve been pain-free for the first time this week and the end of the week before. Hopefully I can stay like this and give 110 percent for the team,’’.

And the Frenchman added that patience was the key to New York finally producing a winning score but knows very well that DC will be a difficult test.

“The goals are always going to come if you play the way we played on Saturday, with desire and commitment starting from the front,” he added.

“They don’t give up; they come back. They did something we haven’t done yet; win away from home. Hopefully we can do it. We know it’s going to be a difficult game, a derby.’’

Michael Ballack Linked With MLS Outfit New York Red Bulls

Interesting news are out and it has been revealed that Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Michael Ballack is being linked with a move to MLS outfit New York Red Bulls.

The former Chelsea star has made just nine appearances for the German Bundesliga outfit since his summer move and reports have begun to emerge about his future in the west of Germany.

German website Express.de reported that the German international may move this summer to New York.

‘In the United States there has already speculation that the internationally popular superstar will move in the summer to the New York Metro Stars (Red Bulls),’ the translated report said.

Ballack has been an absolute star of the game throughout his career in Europe with Chemnitzer, Kaiserslautern, Leverkusen, Bayern Munich and Chelsea but could now end his playing days in the USA if reports are correct.
