Juventus, Sporting Lisbon Chasing Real Madrid Star Ezequiel Garay

Reports have emerged that Real Madrid defender Ezequiel Garay is expected to be cashed in this summer.

A Bola has reported that Sporting Lisbon and Juventus are chasing the defender.

A Juve delegation was in Madrid over the weekend to ask Real about the availability of several players, including the little-used Garay.

But they will face competition from Sporting, which have maintained contact with Garay’s camp since the New Year.

Liverpool 0-0 Sporting Braga – Match Highlights

Liverpool crashed out of the Europa League to Portuguese side Braga after an uninspiring 0-0 draw at Anfield resigned them to a 1-0 aggregate loss.

Kenny Dalglish’s team were beaten by Alan’s penalty in Portugal a week ago, and went into the home leg of the last-16 tie needing to score at least once to avoid a shock exit.

But despite Dalglish handing a full debut to Liverpool’s £35 million signing Andy Carroll, the home side failed to break the deadlock on a hugely disappointing night for the club.

Liverpool made three changes from the team beaten 1-0 in the first leg. Danny Wilson, Maxi Rodriguez and Carroll all came into the starting line-up, and helped the home side get off to a promising start.

Villarreal 1-1 Sporting Gijon – Match Highlights

Villarreal squandered a chance to trim the gap to third-placed Valencia to one point when they conceded a late penalty to gift nine-man Sporting Gijon a 1-1 draw in La Liga

Giuseppe Rossi had put Villarreal ahead in the 29th minute at the Madrigal when the United States-born Italy striker reacted quicker than his marker to sweep a loose ball in off the post, his 15th of the campaign.

The club with the distinctive canary-yellow kit looked to be cruising to only a second win in their last seven league games when Gijon defender Jose Angel Valdes earned a second yellow card with 25 minutes remaining and captain Rafael Sastre was shown a straight red for bringing down Rossi in the 90th.

However, when David Barral went down in the penalty area in added time the referee pointed to the spot and Diego Castro scored with an audacious chip into the centre of the goal.

Villarreal have 51 points from 28 matches, three behind Valencia, who held on to Spain’s third automatic Champions League qualification berth despite crashing to a 4-0 defeat at Real Zaragoza on Saturday.
