Gareth Bale To Find Out The Extent Of Injury

Gareth Bale is set to find out whether he is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines amid fears he suffered serious ankle ligament damage following a challenge from Charlie Adam during Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Blackpool.

The Welsh international winger left White Hart Lane on crutches with a protective boot around his left leg after the Blackpool captain went in hard on his ankle.

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp blasted the Blackpool midfielder for the challenge but is hopeful that Bale could return for the club’s last two matches of the season against Liverpool and Birmingham.

Redknapp said : “It was a bad tackle. A few people said it was a nasty challenge,”.

“He will have a scan at the hospital. It could be ligament damage but it might not be so bad. It could only be twisted.”

Gareth Bale : Tottenham Will Be Ready For The Run-In

Tottenham winger Gareth Bale has hinted that his side will take out their Champions League frustration on Arsenal.

The Welsh international star also insisted that no one would be suffering from a Champions League hangover when Spurs take on bitter rivals Arsenal at White Hart Lane next Wednesday.

He said: “Defeat is hard to take but we knew before the game it would be a difficult challenge.

“We have had a great run in the Champions League and are proud of it but, at the end of the night, we lost to the better team.

“We have every chance of finishing fourth. We’re three points off City with a game in hand so there is still a lot to play for and we will be ready for the run-in.”

Gareth Bale Close To Tottenham Return

Good news for all Tottenham fans as it has been revealed that Gareth Bale is winning his fight to be fit for Spurs’ Real Madrid clash.

However Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has admitted that is the only plus on a grim injury list that has ravaged his squad.

Spurs take on Wigan tomorrow at the DW Stadium before Tuesday’s Champions League battle in the Bernabeu.

And Redknapp revealed: “Gareth looked OK on Thursday. Whether he is OK to play two games inside four days is doubtful. We will decide which way to go by leaving any fitness test late.

“I’d love to have him fit for both but if he isn’t fully fit then he can’t play.”

The 21 year old winger pulled out of Wales’ 2-0 defeat by England with a hamstring problem.

Tottenham Confident Gareth Bale Will Be Ready To Face Real Madrid

It has been revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are confident that Gareth Bale will make their Champions League clash with Real Madrid.

The Sun has revealed that the Welsh international has been forced to withdraw from Wales’ qualifier with England in Cardiff because of a hamstring injury.

The former Southampton star, now age 21, reportedly pulled up in training yesterday and was told he has no chance of being able to face the Three Lions at the Millennium Stadium.

However it is hoped that the winger will be fine for his club’s crunch Champions League quarter-final with Real Madrid on April 5.

Bale also suffered a knock on his thigh in training with Spurs last week but recovered in time to face West Ham.
