Buffon dismisses Arsenal link

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has played down speculation linking him with a summer move to Arsenal.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly on the lookout for an experienced goalkeeper and Italy international Buffon fits the bill.

However, Buffon insists his future lies with Juventus, despite another disappointing Serie A campaign in which the club are fighting for the final Europa League qualification spot.

"Next year I will still be at Juventus," Buffon told Sky Sports Italia.

"I don't think there is such a possibility of me going to Arsenal. My intentions and that of the club are to continue together.

"It's been a disappointing season, we missed too many opportunities. Now Europe is the minimum target and is a question of dignity."

Court dismisses anti-gay lawsuit

A court has dismissed one of two cases filed by gay rights groups against the president of the Croatian football federation because of his inflammatory remarks.

Vlatko Markovic said last year that no gay player would be included in the Croatian national team while he was in charge because “only healthy people play football.”

A spokesman for the Zagreb county court said Thursday that a judge rejected one of the cases against Markovic earlier this week.

The hearing into the second law suit will be held in June. The two cases have been filed by separate gay rights groups.

UEFA has also opened a case against Markovic following his remarks.

Lucio dismisses Bayern talk

Lucio has dismissed speculation suggesting he is seeking a return to Bayern Munich, insisting his "heart is with Inter."

Rports emanating from Germany this week claimed Lucio was looking to return to the Allianz Arena.

"I never said I wanted to come back to playing for Bayern Munich," insisted the Brazilian on the official Inter website.

"I just said that in football everything is possible, so if in future Inter aren't interested in me any more, but Bayern are, then I could even consider returning to Germany."

However, he wasn't entirely confident of staying at San Siro long-term either.

"Right now I am a player at this team, my family are happy in Milan and I have no reason to leave.

"If it was up to me, then I'd stay, but I am aware as with all football players that it doesn't just depend on me. After all, it wasn't my decision to leave Bayern.

"My heart is here, with Inter, but clearly whether I stay here or not does not depend purely on my decision."
