Nikica Jelavic Linked With A Move To Manchester United

Nikica Jelavic has revealed that English powerhouse Manchester United are showing considerable interest in him.

The 25-year old Croatia international has had a brilliant debut season with Rangers in Scotland, scoring 18 goals from 23 appearances in all competitions, and says that the Old Trafford club are monitoring him.

Jelavic only joined ‘Gers last summer but is already being linked with an Ibrox departure and suggests that Sir Alex Ferguson is prepared to pay a hefty sum for him despite having a star-studded attacking line.

“I know United are interested. My agent has established contact with them but that’s all I know,” he told the Daily Record.

“My agent has mentioned a figure of £13million and I came to Rangers for £4m so it would be a big gain for the club.”

Heinze linked with Juventus move

Gabriel Heinze has admitted that he would welcome the opportunity to play in Italy.

The Argentine defender is set to leave Marseille this summer, ending a two-year spell at Stade Velodrome.

Juventus are reported to be leading the chase for his signature, and having already played in Spain, England and France, the 33-year-old is keen to test himself in Italy before he hangs up his boots.

"There is little chance of me staying, but that is no problem for me and it is no problem for Marseille," he told L'Equipe.

"I have other projects in mind."

Heinze claims to have spurned possible switches to Serie A in the past, but feels now is the right time to make such a move.

"Juve are a very big club and it would be perfect for my career if I could sample Italian football," he added.

"I've been close to playing in Italy twice before. First I had an offer from Manchester United that I couldn't refuse and then from Real Madrid, where I have always dreamt of playing.

"We'll have to see whether I'm fortunate enough to get a third offer this year."

Barcelona Linked With A Move For Carlos Tevez

Sensational news are out and it has been revealed that Barcelona are being linked with Manchester City captain Carlos Tevez.

El Mundo Deportivo has revealed that Italian sources suggest the Spanish champions will compete with Inter Milan for the unsettled Argentine.

It is believed that Barca management are planning to restructure their attack in the summer and know Tevez would fit nicely in combination with good friend Lionel Messi and prime striker David Villa.

The former Manchester United striker’s work ethic and character is admired by Barca coach Pep Guardiola, who is always careful about how potential signings will settle inside the locker room.

The one stumbling block will be Tevez’s personal terms, with the striker seeking around €9 million-a-year to leave City.

However, another Liverpool target, Marseille left-back Taye Taiwo, 25, seems likely to opt for AC Milan ahead of Anfield.
