Transfer news from the English Premier League is out and it has been reported that Newcastle United are closing in on a deal for Lille midfield star Yohan Cabaye.
The Sunday Mirror has reported that Newcastle boss Alan Pardew is close to a £4.3million swoop for France international midfielder Cabaye.
Cabaye, now age 25, has a £4.4m release clause in his contract which has two years to run.
He has scored 31 goals in 190 games for Lille and was part of their Double success, winning a first title in 57 years after lifting the French Cup.
Reports from France suggest that Magpies and Lille officials met last week.
