Man United apologise for dressing room damage

Manchester United have apologised and offered to pay for the damage caused to their Wembley dressing room following Saturday's FA Cup semi-final.

It is understood a wall was kicked after United's 1-0 defeat to Manchester City and repairs were carried out before Stoke City used the dressing room the following day.

United said they drew the Football Association's attention to the damage done to a wall following the 1-0 loss to fierce rivals Manchester City.

Manchester United said it was they who told the FA of the damage on Saturday evening. A club spokesman said: "We brought it to their attention on Saturday night, we apologised and offered to pay. It was about three inches in diameter and was only surface damage and not a hole."
