According to Skysports.com, Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is targeting Birmingham defender Scott Dann to be the first of his summer rebuilding plans.
The 24 year old defender has impressed in the Premier League during his time at Birmingham with Manchester United also having a watching brief on the Liverpool born defender.
However newly installed director of football Damien Comolli is involved in all transfer dealings at Anfield and it is felt he may have different priorities.
