Giroud and M'Vila Head to Arsenal

Arsenal's ambitions next season will be plain for all to see with news that Wenger is very close to agreeing to the signings of both Olivier Giroud and Yann M'Vila.

The double French swoop by Wenger signals to Arsenal fans and in particular, the club captain Robin van Persie who is still considering his future with the club, that a title fight next season will be a realistic ambition.

Added fire-power in Giroud who joins Lukas Podolski in Arsenal's attacking ranks, as well as an assured defensive midfielder to shield the back four in the very talented Yann M'Vila will further push Van Persie for a decision on his future this summer with clubs reportedly interested in persuading him away.

M'Vila's signing would go some way to address the issue of conceding goals, solidifying the shape of Arsenal with his strength in the tackle and fantastic work-rate. He would be the protector of the back-four which last season conceded the most goals inside the top four of the League (49), and can also contribute to attacks, with impressive vision to set up breaks.

As I have addressed in previous articles on M'Vila, the 21 year-old is very mature for his age, both on and off the field, and has received plaudits for his excellent footballing characteristics, with the former French national team manager Raymond Domenech noticing that "his choices, his positioning and his distribution belonged to someone much older, more experienced."

A number of clubs have been interested in his signature from across Europe, with Manchester United previously linked, as well as Real Madrid, AC Milan and Juventus. If Arsenal can complete this signing, it would be a sure sign of improvement and stability at the club.

Olivier Giroud will obviously add a different dimension to the Arsenal set-up. He is a 25 year-old striker who was prolific for Montpellier last season, scoring 25 goals as well as assisting 9, helping his side to win the League - something Arsenal will certainly hope he can emulate in England. It is thought he would cost £12.8 million due to a reported release clause in his contract, despite his club valuing him at £37.2 million more.

Montpellier manager Rene Girard has said that not only is the player keen to move to England, but Arsenal are leading the chase with Wenger negotiating with Montpellier's club president: "Arsenal are very interested and Giroud wants to play in England, if Arsene agrees with the president, he will sign for them."

The deal looks to be near enough done, and Arsenal fans can begin to consider a front three of Podolski, Giroud and Van Persie next season, as can the Premier League's opposition defenders. More goals scored and less conceded whilst winning games is the aim for Arsenal, and to win some silverware will most likely come along the way. Is it enough for van Persie though?

England vs France Live Stream Euro 2012 Online 11 June 2012

In the next match of the Euro 2012 Group Stages we will have the two dark horses going head to head in what will be a great game and it will be interesting to see how this match goes about and this match holds a significant impact on the Group D as who will be going through to the next round. So far in the tournament some of the big sides have played disappointingly, with Spain and Italy drawing 1-1 we can expect the same here in this one between France and England.

England are coming into this match on the back of a no expectations at all, unlike previous big events they have been part of and they have some very young players in their ranks with some big names missing out on the tour due to injuries. Steven Gerrard is the one who is the main player and he will be the focul point untill Rooney makes his comeback into the event after two matches.

France on the other hand dont have much of expectations to live upto and that put off so much pressure of their shoulders and it will surely be a big game for both the sides when they take on each other.

Barcelona Want Arsenal's Vermaelen?

Considering how strong, constant and solid Thomas Vermaelen has been in the Arsenal defence during his time at the club, it would come as no surprise that he has gathered a few admirers.

Indeed it would be silly to think clubs have not watched him and imagined him in a shirt representing their own side, so perhaps news that Barcelona are eyeing him up for a summer transfer should be taken seriously.

Barcelona are reportedly looking for another central defender to bolster the back-line, and have considered several options with AC Milan's Brazilian centre-back Thiago Silva, being their number one choice.

However, an offer of over £30 million from Paris Saint Germain has already been rejected by Milan, and it is thought Barcelona will not be willing to spend that amount on a 27 year-old defender.

Now they have, so the Daily Mail say, turned their attentions towards Arsenal's defensive talisman, Vermaelen. Arsene Wenger of course will not entertain the prospect of losing such an important player to Barcelona, and will, like AC Milan, reject any bid made for the 26 year-old Belgian defender.

Furthermore, only a few days ago, Vermaelen effectively committed his future to Arsenal, by saying rather definitively: “I will stay at Arsenal forever. There will be no transfer for me. I love London. I’ve got a house there, I’m happy there and I don’t see any reason to ever leave the club."

Unless Wenger suddenly decides there is no need for Vermaelen in his side, and Vermaelen has a sudden and extreme change of heart, Barcelona will have to look elsewhere.

So it seems that if the story is true, and Barcelona are interested in the former Ajax man who has spent three seasons at the Emirates, they will have a lot of persuading to do, and will need a significant amount of money to spend. Otherwise, this seems a no-go for the former European Champions.

Poland vs Greece Live Stream Euro 2012 Online - 7 June

In the opening match of the UEFA Euro Championship we will have the hosts Poland taking on Greece side on 8th June at Warsaw stadium and it will surely be one great opening match to look forward too. Greece of course at the 2004 Euro Champions and they will be hoping to get out this tricky group where none of the European Giants have been drawn in.

In the Group A there are 4 teams and on paper they all have equal ability to go through to the next round, with Poland, Russia, Czech Republic and Greece no one can predict the fate of this group and for the Hosts this is the best draw and if they ever had a chance to make it to the Quarterfinals of the big event this is it.

Poland have been playing so well in the last 5 matches and they are up there with the best in terms of form and since they are playing at home, they can put Greece under pressure and get all three points from this game which would open up their chances of qualification. If we look at their form in the last 5 matches they have only drawn 1 game and that was against Portugal while they have won all the 4 other games and only conceded 1 goal in the last 5 matches.

Greece on the other hand are coming into this match on the back of a poor run of results in Internationals, as they could only won 1 game in the last 5 matches and that was against Armenia which was their last International Frienly game.

You can Tune in here to watch the live action of the match here, which full match highlights of the game will be available after the match is over. so please comeback here shortl after the match is over to get the live action.

England vs Belgium Live Stream Online 2 June 2012

In the Intenational Friendly matches before the Euro 2012 we will have England taking on Belgium side in their 2nd Preparaion game before the big event and they will be eager to go out there and get something under their belt and start their Euro campaign on high. England have been playing so well in the last few games and they defeated Norway in their last international match a week ago with a solitary goal from Ashley Young who managed to score in the first half to give England a deserved win. You can tune in here to get the live updates and match highlights which will be available shortly after the game is over.

England have lost two of their key players in the midfield area, as Frank Lampard is ruled out of the Euro's due to knee problem while Gareth Barry is already sidelined and that is a big blow for England who will be looking into alrernatives for the two players now.

Belgium on the other hand are not in Euro competition and they will be looking to get a big scalp before the World Cup 2014 Qualifiers gets underway. England should win this game with ease and although Wayne Rooney wont be in the starting lineup he will be there to help England if needed. so we predict a good win for England in this match with a 3-1 scoreline.

International Friendly Match:
England vs Belgium:
June 2, 2012 5:15 PM BST

Portugal vs Turkey Live Stream Online 2 June 2012

One of the dark horses to win the Euro 2012 are Portugal side who had a very difficult qualification campaign and they have been really dissapointing in the last few games they have played, infect they only won 1 game in the last 5 internationals they have played and that is something very poor for a team who has so much talented players all around the field.

They usualy start the big events on low but like many times before they just know who to handle the big teams and we can bet on them to sneak through the difficult group they have been placed in with Germany, Holland and Denmark.

Turkey on the other hand missed out on the qualification to the European Championships and it will take a mega effort from them to get anything out of this match which will be played in Portugal. Turkey always been a team who can surprise anyone and they have some great players and it will be interesting to see how this match goes about.

International Friendly:
Portugal vs Turkey:
